Job summary

The State of North Carolina - Adult Correction is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician III (S) to perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance for a multi-custody level correctional facility. The role covers electrical/mechanical trades and semi-skilled work like masonry, plumbing, and HVAC system servicing.

You will supervise a team and support staff, ensure safety and efficiency, and may require EPA Type I/II/III or Universal certification.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and/or materials used in the general maintenance and/or repair of buildings, equipment, and/or machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks and repairs for a multi-custody level correctional facility.
• Supervise the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled labor (including offenders) and assist with tasks.
• Service and repair potable and wastewater drainage systems, water heating systems, and circulating loops.
