State of North Carolina is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Supervisor III (NS) in the Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The role oversees facilities maintenance, coordinating multiple trades across three hubs and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The position requires supervisory experience, budgeting acumen, and a solid background in facility maintenance or construction. Working hours are standard with full-time benefits through the state.

Qualifications

• Minimum education and experience are REQUIRED; all work history and education must be documented on the application.
• Associate’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• GED or high school diploma with at least 5 years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction.

Responsabilités

• Ensure work meets all regulatory requirements for maintenance, renovation, repair, and construction.
• Plan and delegate work for assigned facilities with short- and long-term priorities.
• Provide input on the facilities operational budget related to maintenance.
• Direct journey-level work across a variety of trades.
• Attend meetings with contractors, vendors, and officials to plan projects.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel and their performance.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for equipment and mechanical devices.
