Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist (Army MOS: 83F) for 2nd shift in Osage, IA. The position sets up collating and finishing equipment to produce customer-specific printed materials. Starting min rate is $24.44/hr with potential overtime and shift differential.

Responsibilities include operating collating/labeling machines, reviewing specs, and ensuring quality and dimensional accuracy. Mon-Fri, 3:00pm-11:00pm, with possible weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and collating specs.
• Knowledge of quality and machining requirements of paper stock.
• Skill in setting up and adjusting finishing machines for weight, color, and quality.
• Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
• Skill in using tools to adjust and maintain collating machines.
• Familiarity with folding, gluing, perforating and cutting processes.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates collating and/or labeling/patching machines to produce value added enhancements to in-process work.
• Review specifications and set up equipment that perform forms collating from web rolls, label affixing, or window patching to printed or in-process materials specific to the customer's requirements.
• Equipment operated may perform functions related to assembling and perforating signatures, stapling, gluing, folding, or cutting sheets of paper, forms, or signatures in specified sequence to form completed sets or die cut and apply labels or films to paper substrates.
• Perform safety inspections, document problems, and track production during operation.
