Job summary

RRD is seeking a Collator Operator for the 2nd shift in Osage, IA. Shift runs 3:00pm–11:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime including weekends and a $2/hr shift premium.

You will set up and operate collating machines, review customer specifications, and ensure precise folding, labeling and finishing of printed materials. Responsibilities include safety inspections, documenting issues, and tracking production.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing collating requirements.
• Knowledge of quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock.
• Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for weight, color, machinability and quality of paper stock.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates collating and/or labeling/patching machines to produce value added enhancements to in-process work.
• Review specifications and set up equipment that perform forms collating from web rolls, label affixing, or window patching to printed or in-process materials specific to the customer\'s requirements.
• Operate equipment that may perform assembling, perforating, folding, gluing, or cutting to form completed sets, and apply labels or films as needed.
• Perform safety inspections, document problems, and track production during operation.
