Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. seeks a Printer Field Service Technician II to cover Downtown Brooklyn, Long Island City, Midtown Manhattan and surrounding areas. The role involves diagnosing failures, repairing Canon equipment, and delivering on-site maintenance with 24/7 availability.

You will travel to customer sites, complete required PDIF training, and work across multiple product lines while ensuring compliance with security requirements and policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and completion of the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record).
• Capability to work in a 24/7 environment, with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain required security/clearances.
• Must lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with efficient, responsive, and accurate maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide guidance to less experienced technicians and escalate issues when needed.
