Job summary
LTA Research & Exploration seeks a Senior Principal Systems Safety Engineer to serve as a technical authority within Systems Engineering. You will own the system-level safety, verification, and certification strategy for complex vehicle programs and lead cross‑functional teams toward single architectures.
As a seasoned leader, you will mentor engineers, drive MBSE approaches with Cameo/MagicDraw, and coordinate audits with FAA/EASA.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience in aerospace.
- Direct experience taking systems through ARP4754A/ARP4761 lifecycle.
- Strong MBSE and model-based development experience.
Responsibilities
- Innovate system-safety approaches for high-stakes integration and certification.
- Conduct and own System Safety Assessments and related analyses.
- Architect and validate new system-of-systems architectures for programs.
- Lead verification and certification activities per DO-178C/DO-254/MIL-STD-882 as applicable.
- Mentor and develop senior engineers and lead cross-functional teams.
