Job summary

AeroVect Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Safety Engineer to lead safety lifecycle tasks for our autonomous hardware and software platforms.

You will perform hazard identification, risk assessments, derive safety requirements, and collaborate with systems, software, robotics, hardware, and test teams to ensure verifiable safety. This role supports safety case artifacts and verification for airport deployments, with emphasis on FMEDA, PMHF, and hardware failure rate modelling.

Qualifications

• Hazard identification and risk assessment across autonomous systems.
• Derivation and tracing of functional/technical safety requirements (FSRs/TSRs).
• Experience with safety analysis in automotive, aerospace, or industrial safety domains.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quantitative Hardware Safety Analyses (FMEDA, diagnostics, PMHF).
• Compute failure rates for hardware components and systems.
• Evaluate drive-by-wire hardware, sensors (Lidar, Radar, Camera), actuators, and power distribution for faults.
• Derive Hardware Safety Requirements (HSRs) for redundant architectures.
