Job summary

Salient Motion, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer focused on safety and reliability to own the safety deliverables across the product lifecycle for FAA Part 25 / EASA CS-25 certification programs.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to develop and certify safety plans, perform reliability modeling with MTBF methods, and drive DO-178C/DO-254 planning in a fast-moving, well-funded startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience with a focus on safety and reliability.
• Proven deliverables for FHA, FTA, FMEA/FMES and certification activities.
• Experience with safety standards and regulatory interfaces (FAA/DER).

Responsibilities

• Own safety analysis activities end-to-end including FHA, PSSA, SSA.
• Lead FTA and FMEA/FMES development with traceability to design and verification.
• Allocate safety requirements to hardware, software and mechanical subsystems.
• Interface with FAA DER and airframe teams on safety plans and compliance.
