Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Civil Design Engineer to support the Sentinel program from locations in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, UT.

The role involves leading civil/structural design across facilities, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring adherence to UFC, MIL-STD, and other codes. The position offers a 9/80 schedule and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or STEM required (or equivalent).
Master's degree with relevant experience is acceptable; PhD considered with minimal or no experience.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance and SAP access.

Responsibilities

Oversee civil/structural design for Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.
Lead design/model reviews for high-complexity civil/structural systems.
Review subcontractors' civil/structural designs for standards compliance.
Develop and deliver Technical Data Packages and IFC packages.
Identify risks and implement mitigation within the design baseline.
