Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Structural Engineer for the Sentinel program, located in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, UT. The role focuses on the design/analysis of facilities and subsystems supporting missile upgrades and test facilities.

Relocation assistance may be available, and a Secret clearance is required. Responsibilities include structural modeling, dynamics, and interaction with systems engineering in a highly integrated team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for Principal Engineer, or 8+ years for Sr. Principal with Bachelor's.
• 6+ years with Masters; 4+ years with PhD for Sr. Principal.
• US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance (within 6 years of investigation).
• Knowledge of missile/spacecraft structures; statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop structural engineering specifications for missiles, spacecraft and related subsystems.
• Perform dynamics, loads, stability, fatigue and thermal analyses.
• Utilize tools like CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and MATLAB for modeling and data analysis.
