Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Civil Design Engineer to support the Sentinel program. Location options include Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, UT, with a possible relocation package.

The role emphasizes design, modeling, and integration of civil/structural elements for launch facilities and test sites. The position requires advanced knowledge of structural design standards (UFC, MIL-STD) and collaboration across systems engineering, aerodynamics, and stress

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or STEM with 5+ years of experience; or Master's with 3+ years; or PhD with 0+ years.
• Experience with structural analysis of structures, utility conduit and connections.
• Professional knowledge of structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines in a highly integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design on the Infrastructure Design Team (INF).
• Support design, modeling, and integration for civil/structural elements for Sentinel Facilities.
• Oversee civil/structural systems design for Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.
• Review subcontractors' civil/structural designs for compliance with current standards.
