Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Structural Engineer or Principal Structural Engineer in Palmdale, CA on a 3/10 day/hour schedule. The role requires willingness to work extended shifts, weekends and holidays to meet program schedules and objectives.

Responsibilities include acting as the structural analysis authority for non-conformances, supporting MRB/ECR processes, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 2+ years experience
• Master's in STEM with no experience (for Level 2)
• Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years experience (for Level 3)
• Master's in STEM with 3 years experience (for Level 3)
• PhD with no experience (for Level 3)
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Act as structural analysis engineer authority for non-conformances (STRIKE)
• Support disposition and MRB/ECRs in production and flight test
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineers for effective defect solutions
• Maintain MRB process integrity and engineering authority
• Handle knowledge of composite and metallic structures and subsystems installations
• Utilize FEMAP, NX, VisPro, MES, TeamCenter
