Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems in Palmdale, CA seeks a Principal or Sr. Principal Structural Analysis Engineer on a 4 day–10 hour shift. You will analyze metals, composites and structures, performing MRB stress work and supporting rapid production.

Proficiency with NX CAD, Femap and Nastran is required. Active DoD Secret clearance is required, with opportunities for special access and competitive compensation including bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires active U.S. Government Secret clearance
• Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis
• Proficiency with MRB stress analysis and large Finite Element Models

Responsibilities

• Provide stress MRB dispositions for primary and secondary structure
• Review analyses, drawings and repairs for accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate with other disciplines during design solutions
• Present structural issues and solutions to management and customers
• Maintain and improve designs and systems in production deliveries
• Develop solutions to difficult problems aligned with program objectives
• Evaluate as-built products for conformity to standards
• Work with large Finite Element Models and hand-sheet analysis
