Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead design and implementation of efficient, scalable data center structures supporting massive cloud operations across regions. You will drive structural concepts, coordinate with architecture, civil, electrical, and operations teams, and ensure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in structural engineering with a focus on data centers, expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineeringrequired.
10+ years in Structural Engineering with 8+ years in data center design/operations.
Proven track record delivering large-scale data center projects.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla and related design software.
Expertise in sustainability, energy efficiency and cost-saving measures for data centers.
Excellent communication and ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Strong stakeholder management across engineering, product and operations teams.
Analytical skills with ability to define KPIs and report on metrics.

Responsibilities

Create building and site structural drawings.
Lead the design and development of structural design for large-scale data centers.
Provide structural design oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive sustainability initiatives and cost/quality metrics.
Collaborate with architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical, network, and operations teams.
Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and environmental requirements.
Manage multi-site projects across global regions and vendors.
