Job summary

Fleet Data Centers, Denver, CO, seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to lead design and implementation of efficient, scalable data center structures across regions. You will collaborate with architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical, and operations teams to integrate structural systems with overall data center performance.

Candidates should have 10+ years in structural engineering with data center experience; PE license preferred; proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla; willing to travel up to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in Structural Engineering with at least 8 years focused on data center design.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale data center projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, and related structural software.
• Focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-saving measures for data centers.
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Create building and site structural drawings across multi-site campuses.
• Lead the design and development of large-scale data center structures.
• Provide oversight throughout project lifecycles for structural systems.
• Collaborate with architecture, civil, electrical and mechanical teams.
• Drive metrics related to cost, quality, and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors to meet quality and safety requirements.
