Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead complex projects in data centers and related capital programs. You will serve as the technical authority, provide SME guidance, and act as Engineer of Record for budgets and schedules.

The role requires PE licensure, 10+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of wind and seismic design, codes, and construction means. Travel to client sites and coordination with multiple disciplines are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• PE licensure in the United States; multiple state licenses preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural design codes, wind and seismic design.
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud, RISA, ETABS.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience on data centers or complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical authority for assigned programs and initiatives.
• Provide SME guidance to structural engineers.
• Act as Engineer of Record, managing budgets and schedules.
• Collaborate with diverse disciplines, staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout project lifecycle.
• Organize investigations, develop calculations, plans, specifications, proposals, and other contract documents.
• Perform construction administration duties including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Travel for client meetings, charrettes, and site visits as required.
