Job summary
Early Warning is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to apply software and systems engineering to improve reliability, scalability, and operational health of production services. You will partner with Software Engineering to ensure observability, recoverability, and performance are engineered throughout the lifecycle.
The role operates at enterprise scope, setting direction, driving automation, and leading incident response with a focus on blameless learning and scalable on‑call
Qualifications
- Typically 15+ years of relevant professional experience in software/systems engineering.
- Experience with public cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, automation, and observability.
- Analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills appropriate to the level.
Responsibilities
- Apply software and systems engineering to improve reliability, resilience, and operational health of production services.
- Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets; drive telemetry and observability.
- Lead incident response and blameless post-incident learning at enterprise scale.
- Partner with software teams to embed reliability and performance into the development lifecycle.
