Job summary
Early Warning Services LLC is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to elevate reliability, observability, and performance across production services. You will partner with software engineering and other tech teams to embed reliability into systems throughout their lifecycle.
This role operates at an enterprise scope, setting technical direction, driving evidence-based engineering decisions, and leading incident response with a focus on automation and sustainable on-call practices.
Qualifications
- Typically 15+ years of software/systems engineering experience.
- Experience with public clouds, preferably AWS.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Use software engineering, automation, and DevOps principles to improve how services are built, tested, deployed, observed, operated, and recovered.
- Define and measure SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and service-health metrics.
- Improve observability through metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring, and dashboards.
- Drive CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and incident response improvements.
- Partner with Software Engineering to ensure reliability and scalability across lifecycle.
