Job summary

Early Warning Services, LLC seeks a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability across enterprise services. The role partners with Software Engineering to design, implement, and operate scalable systems with strong observability and automation.

The position requires 15+ years in software/systems engineering, AWS and IaC experience, and a proven track record in leading incident response and improving CI/CD. Hybrid work is available in Phoenix/Scottsdale area for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

Typically 15+ years of relevant professional experience in software or systems engineering, cloud/DevOps domains.
Experience with software development or scripting using modern languages.
Experience with cloud technologies (prefer AWS) and modern architectures.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Use software engineering, automation, and DevOps practices to improve how services are built, tested, deployed, observed, operated, and recovered.
Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and other health measures.
Improve observability with metrics, logging, tracing, and dashboards.
Drive CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and incident response improvements.
Provide enterprise‑level technical leadership during critical production incidents.
