BECU is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to shape the future of our lending and credit card technology ecosystem. You will bridge architecture and engineering, delivering scalable, secure solutions that improve member experiences and support growth.

You’ll lead modernization, architecture strategy, and API integrations while mentoring teams and driving production excellence in a large cloud-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of information technology experience with enterprise-scale delivery.
• Experience with financial products (credit cards, mortgages, loans) and UX, integrations, and API layers.
• Experience with public cloud (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) technologies and SDLC leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale design and delivery for lending and credit card platforms.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical designs meeting security and scalability goals.
• Drive modernization and cloud-first initiatives across teams.
• Architect cloud-ready financial solutions with modern integrations and services.
• Collaborate with architects, delivery, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Improve production stability while balancing strategic projects.
• Create prototypes and PoCs to advance technology capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.
• Stay current with emerging tech and architectural best practices.
