Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to drive the architecture and delivery of its lending and credit card platforms. You will bridge architecture and engineering, delivering scalable, secure solutions and guiding modernization across teams.

The role emphasizes cloud-first design, API-led integration, and production excellence, with opportunities to mentor engineers and influence enterprise technology strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 10 years IT experience with enterprise design expertise.
• Experience with Financial products (Credit/Card, Loans, Deposits) required.
• UX, integration, and API design experience in consumer finance products.
• Public cloud (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) tech including IaaS/PaaS/SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, enterprise-scale solution design for lending and credit card platforms.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical designs meeting performance and security goals.
• Drive modernization and simplify systems for faster delivery.
• Shape cloud-first solutions and modern architectures.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to drive successful execution.
• Design and troubleshoot APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Improve production stability while balancing strategic work.
• Create prototypes and proofs-of-concept for new capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Stay current on industry best practices and architecture trends.
