Job summary

Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to shape the lending and credit card technology ecosystem at scale. You will translate business needs into secure, scalable designs, mentor engineers, and lead modernization across cloud and on-prem platforms to enhance member experiences.

You will be eligible to work in the U.S. and may be remote or onsite, with collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 10 years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design required.
• Experience with Financial products (Credit Card, Mortgage, Loan, Deposits, etc.) required.
• Consumer financial products with expertise in UX, integration, and API design required.
• Experience with public cloud technologies including Azure/AWS/Google Cloud required.
• Experience leading and collaborating with multiple teams for enterprise-wide initiatives through the SDLC required.

• Partner Across Teams: collaborate with architects, engineers, delivery, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Guide API and Integration Strategy: design and troubleshoot APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Support Production Excellence: improve production stability by addressing root causes.
• Build Innovative Solutions: create prototypes to solve complex business challenges.
• Influence Technical Direction: recommend solutions to improve member experiences and business outcomes.
• Mentor and Elevate Others: provide technical leadership and mentorship across the org.
• Champion Industry Best Practices: stay current on emerging technologies to evolve practices.
• Communicate with Impact: present technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
