Job summary

BECU is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to shape the future of its lending and credit card platforms. You will bridge architecture and engineering, delivering scalable, secure solutions while mentoring teams and influencing enterprise directions.

This role requires hands-on leadership across cloud-based designs, API strategy, and modernization efforts. Remote work is available for qualified candidates in supported locations, with strong collaboration across technology and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience with application design
• Experience with financial products (credit cards, loans, deposits)
• Experience with consumer financial products UX, integration, and API layer
• Public cloud experience (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud)
• Experience leading multi-team enterprise initiatives
• Desirable: .NET/C#, Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks
• CI/CD tooling experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Strong architectural and design principles (SOLID, SOA)
