BECU is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to shape the future of its lending and credit card platforms. You will bridge architecture and engineering, delivering scalable, secure financial solutions while mentoring teams and driving modernization across a cloud-centric stack.

You’ll influence enterprise design decisions and partner with diverse teams to accelerate delivery and improve member experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design.
• Experience with Financial products (Credit Card, Mortgage, Loan, Deposits).
• Experience with consumer financial products with expertise in UX, integration, and API layer.
• Experience with public cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).
• Experience leading and collaborating with multiple teams for enterprise-wide initiatives and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design for enterprise-scale lending and credit card platforms.
• Architect for scale, translating needs into detailed technical designs.
• Drive modernization to simplify systems and improve architecture.
• Shape cloud-first solutions for future growth and secure integrations.
• Partner across teams to drive successful execution across interconnected systems.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot APIs and integrations powering key experiences.
• Support production excellence by identifying root causes and improving stability.
• Mentor engineers and provide architectural guidance across the organization.
