Job summary

Worky is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer in the United States. This hands-on leadership role combines architectural oversight with extensive coding across a multi-team environment.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and partner with vendors to maintain system reliability and strategic technology direction. You will lead complex projects, reduce technical debt where appropriate, and ensure delivery plans and timelines align with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12-15 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years at senior or principal level.
• Extensive coding experience in .NET Unified Platform V8 and .NET Framework 4.8.
• Experience with workflow orchestration engines in microservice architectures; Camunda Cloud preferred.
• Strong principles in software engineering, design patterns, and system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop sophisticated software systems; hands-on with up to 100% coding.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Lead vendor and architect collaboration to align with enterprise strategy.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analyses for critical production issues.
• Drive process improvements, knowledge sharing, and reusable components across projects.
