Job summary

Worky is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own feature delivery end-to-end in a fully remote role. You will work across the full software lifecycle, from design through production, with emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.

The position collaborates with product, UX, and architecture while mentoring junior engineers. You will leverage Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript/JavaScript, prototype new AI workflows, and participate in CI/CD and AWS deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, AWS Lambda Powertools) and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience prototyping PoCs to evaluate new tools or AI-assisted workflows.
• Solid grounding in system design, debugging, and testing (pytest).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and AWS deployments.
• Ability to interpret acceptance criteria and validate non-functional requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Strong communication skills for incidents and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own feature delivery from technical approach to production.
• Write unit tests and verify non-functional requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews.
• Collaborate with UX, product, and architecture teams.
• Conduct root-cause analysis during live incidents and communicate findings.
