Job summary

Verint Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the end-to-end development of cloud-based platforms and applications.

You will collaborate with a global team to design, implement, test, and support features, following CI/CD practices and ensuring quality and security. The role requires strong Java expertise, RESTful APIs, and experience with microservices, databases, and AI-enabled features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / software engineering (or similar).
• 5 years' experience in design and programming large scale applications through all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Proven track record of delivery of complex features end-to-end.
• 2 years experience mentoring mid to entry level engineers and influencing technical direction.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and microservices patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) including schema design and query optimization. NoSQL exposure.
• 3 years experience consuming LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI-powered features in production.
• Strong debugging skills for performance/memory leaks/crash/multi-threaded algorithms.
• 3 years experience with containerized runtimes: Docker, Kubernetes.
• 3 years experience with CI tools: Eclipse/IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory or similar.
• Excellent teamwork, self-learner and self-managed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and high communication skills.
• Clear written and verbal English; able to present technical plans to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing evaluation of feature design and identification of risks to architecture and performance.
• Distill requirements from feature level into implementation tasks.
• Develop features using best practices aligned with product architecture.
• Ensure unit tests, automation, throughput, security and performance meet requirements.
• Lead design discussions with Team Tech Architect and Lead.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Take responsibility for technical implementation and feature delivery.
• Review documentation and guide onboarding of new team members.
• Communicate changes and evolutionary paths to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with partners to maintain productive relationships within the product house and Verint support organization.
