Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to architect and implement an embedded partner integration that brings our AI-native marketplace directly into major CAD/PLM ecosystems. You will champion native geometry data flows, design scalable microservices, and guide cross-team execution to deliver a seamless integrated experience within partner applications.

You will work hybrid, based in the US East with offices in North Bethesda or Waltham, and collaborate with data science to optimize

Qualifications

8–12+ years of professional software development experience.
Deep experience in Python backend services/APIs, React/TypeScript embedded UIs, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Significant experience with system architecture, microservices design, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery, architectural design, and adoption of the flagship embedded partner integration.
Define and evangelize AI tooling standards and ensure latency targets within partner UI.
Collaborate with Data Science to optimize the IQE engine for sub-second performance.
Lead cross-team roadmaps and decision-making for enterprise-grade security and data governance.
Act as the primary technical contact for partner engineering teams and mentor engineers.
Own reliability and security of the integration microservices and ensure robust monitoring.
