Job summary

Xometry, a NASDAQ-listed company, seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead the architectural evolution of its Core Platform. You will re-architect core services to run natively within partner ecosystems, enabling zero-latency DFM feedback and one-click procurement inside enterprise design tools.

You will drive AI integration, establish engineering patterns, and mentor teams while maintaining enterprise SLIs/SLOs and security. Hybrid work in MD/MA supported.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development experience, with a history of scaling complex platforms.
• Expert-level mastery of Python, AWS infrastructure, and frontend frameworks (React/NextJS).
• Systems Architect: shaping the technical direction of multiple teams and establishing patterns.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design high-performance solutions that extend beyond a single org, establishing standards for Xometry-AI integration into external PLM environments.
• Lead AI pipelines integration into the application layer, enabling real-time geometry analysis and production ML deployment.
• Address data gravity and security challenges; build formal networks between partner and Xometry teams for governance.
• Set strategic direction and drive the core integration to production with measurable impact.
• Facilitate cross-functional technical discussions and guide risk/reward decisions with senior leadership.
