Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Core Platform team in a hybrid role. This strategic leadership position focuses on architectural evolution of our flagship enterprise partnership, re-architecting core services to live within partner ecosystems and enabling zero-latency DFM feedback and one-click procurement.

Based in a hybrid role with 3 days onsite weekly at our North Bethesda, MD or Waltham, MA offices, you will shape patterns, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level mastery of Python, AWS infrastructure, and modern frontend frameworks (React/NextJS).
• Systems architect with track record shaping technical direction for multiple teams.
• Strategic roadmap execution driving 6–12 month initiatives to production."
• Strong communication to influence senior leadership and external partners.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design high-performance solutions extending beyond a single org and establish engineering standards for Xometry-AI in external PLM environments.
• Lead integration of production ML pipelines into the application layer with optimized model serving and real-time geometry analysis.
• Solve data gravity and security challenges; design partner-Xometry data governance networks.
• Set strategic direction and lead execution of core integration, aligning DFM and IQE AI engines for a differentiating edge.
• Facilitate technical discourse across Xometry, guiding risk/reward discussions with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Define reliability and security standards for enterprise-grade deployments, including multi-tenant management.
