Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the embedded partner integration with enterprise ecosystems. You will architect the fusion of Xometry's AI engines into a partner's design environment, delivering real-time manufacturability and pricing feedback at the moment of design.

This hybrid role requires 3 days on-site at our North Bethesda, MD or Waltham, MA offices. You will guide architecture, foster AI tooling adoption, and ensure secure, scalable integrations while mentoring

Qualifications

8–12+ years of professional software development experience.
Deep experience with Python backend, React/TypeScript UI, and AWS.
Strong system architecture, microservices design, and distributed systems experience.
Track record of enterprise-grade integrations beyond simple API wrappers.
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery, architectural design, and adoption of the embedded partner integration.
Define and promote standards for native geometry data flows and real-time AI insights.
Tackle complex engineering challenges across Xometry's marketplace and partner ecosystems.
Drive multi-quarter roadmaps and cross-team decision making to deliver deep native integration.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partner engineering teams and mentor engineers.
Own reliability and security of integration microservices and the click-to-buy workflow.
