Job summary

Merck in Boston seeks a Principal Scientist to lead bioanalytical strategies for biologics and guide a PDMB team across oncology and immunology programs. You will interact with discovery teams and partner functions to shape PK/PD data interpretations and translational modeling.

The role emphasizes strategic design of bioanalytical approaches, collaboration across sites, and contributing to immunology/oncology portfolios with potential expansion to other modalities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 6+ years of experience or Master’s with 10+ years in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology, or related field.
• Industrial/academic experience with increasing responsibility in bioanalytical strategies for biologics.
• Experience guiding translational PK/PD and related quantitative pharmacology in discovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead bioanalytical strategies for biologics including ligand binding assays and MS.
• Manage a lab-based PDMB team delivering high-quality data across programs.
• Serve as project-team SME on multiple modality DMPK activities in oncology and immunology.
• Collaborate globally to define efficient PK/PD strategies across Boston, South San Francisco and West Point.
