Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Effector RF Design Team. You will lead mechanical design activities for RF hardware, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and develop technology roadmaps.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 6+ years. A DoD Secret clearance is required; interim clearance eligibility is necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field plus extensive experience in RF mechanical design and leadership.
• Experience with design, analysis, and leadership of RF mechanical products across product life cycle.
• Ability to obtain interim DoD clearance and pursue program access after start.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities involving RF hardware.
• Provide technical oversight and mentor team members across disciplines.
• Conduct trade studies and develop forward plans to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Communicate task status and influence strategic plans across teams and leadership.
• Fill roles as needed to support business unit success.
