Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Principal RF Engineer to join our RF design team. You will lead analysis, design, fabrication, test and integration of RF subassemblies for radar and datalink applications on a tactical missile program.

Onsite role with opportunities to travel. You will collaborate across power, digital and mechanical teams, create CCA documentation, perform schematic capture, and ensure compliance with performance standards and program timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant RF experience including receivers, ADCs, downconverters and frequency synthesizers.
• Experience in RF, analog, digital and power electronics design, integration & tests, simulation and analysis.
• Experience with RF tools: signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, EDA tools and HFSS/ADS.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to ensure RF efforts meet program goals.
• Design and develop receivers, converters, and signal processors.
• Design CCAs with RF or mixed signals.
• Create and review CCA documentation: analyses, schematics, interface drawings, test plans, specs.
• Perform schematic capture and RF routing reviews.
• Collaborate with power, digital and mechanical teams.
• Lab work for component characterization and CCA verification/integration.
• Conduct RF CCA/module checkout per test plan and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with technical performance standards and program requirements.
