RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineer - Solid Propulsion to lead development and integration of propulsion systems for missile and space vehicles. You will coordinate with program management, review manufacturing processes, and oversee supplier activities to ensure successful program execution.

Qualified candidates have a STEM degree with 8+ years of propulsion experience and an active clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree can substitute years.
• Experience in development of solid propulsion systems.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Apply or develop advanced propulsion technologies for missile/space platforms.
• Collaborate across development and production programs and with subcontractors.
• Review manufacturing processes and resolve propulsion design issues.
• Present technical capabilities to management and government agencies
• Interface with customers to identify user needs
• Manage propulsion development projects and supplier subcontracts
