Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Engineer - Solid Propulsion in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role focuses on integrating propulsion technologies across missile and space systems, with heavy collaboration across internal teams and suppliers.

You will manage propulsion development projects, interface with customers, and contribute to future program directions. A DoD Secret clearance is required or ability to obtain one, with candidates possessing strong leadership and technical communication skills.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in development of solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain or an active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Apply or develop highly advanced technologies to propulsion system integration for missile systems and space vehicles.
• Review manufacturing processes and work with subcontractors on design and propulsion systems.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to management and government agencies.
