Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Engineer - Solid Propulsion for an on-site role in Tucson, AZ. You will apply advanced propulsion technologies for missile and space vehicle integration, manage propulsion development projects, and collaborate with subcontractors.

The position requires 8+ years of solid propulsion experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD clearance. Travel opportunities exist to support suppliers and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience; or 10+ years without a degree.
• Experience in development of solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required; clearance must be active and transferable.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced technologies to propulsion system integration for missiles and space vehicles.
• Work across development and production programs and interface with subcontractors on propulsion systems.
• Review manufacturing processes and resolve issues; manage propulsion development projects and subcontracts.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to management and government agencies.
• Travel, including international travel, to provide supplier support.
