Job summary

RTX’s Energetics and Propulsion Department in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineer - Solid Propulsion to lead development and integration of propulsion systems for missile and space applications. This onsite role requires collaboration with program management, suppliers, and customers.

You will review processes, manage subcontracts, present to management and government agencies, and travel as needed. A STEM bachelor’s with 8+ years in propulsion and the ability to obtain a security

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with 8 years minimum experience; advanced degree may substitute for experience.
• Experience in development of solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain an active and transferable U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Apply/develop advanced technologies for propulsion system integration in missiles and space vehicles.
• Engage with development and production programs across Raytheon products.
• Review manufacturing processes and work with subcontractors on propulsion system design and manufacture.
