Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineer - Solid Propulsion to lead propulsion system development for missile and space vehicles. You will work across development and production programs and interface with customers on technical capabilities and future directions.

The role requires a BS in STEM with 8+ years of propulsion experience and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Travel and collaboration with suppliers are expected aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree may substitute years of experience.
• Experience in development of solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain an active and transferable U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply or develop advanced propulsion technologies for missile systems and space vehicles.
• Engage with development and production programs across Raytheon product lines.
• Review manufacturing processes and work with subcontractors on propulsion systems.
