ReNuke Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our client site in Chattanooga, TN!


DESCRIPTION:

  1. Supervisory Responsibility: Supervisory position leading a dedicated, multi-disciplined team assigned to the project.
  2. Budget Responsibility: Capable of managing mega project budgets over $200 million. Lead, direct, and manage projects from initial planning stages to completion, including post-project analysis, in compliance with all TVA processes and procedures.
  3. Actively manage multi-discipline teams, including internal and external resources, to define and achieve project performance goals, schedule, and budget performance.
  4. Develop full-scale project plans including scope, accurate cost estimates, goals, and deliverables. Communicate project expectations to management, end users, and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner. Proactively communicate project status, issues, and risks to management.
  5. Define, estimate, and secure resources needed to achieve project goals. Incorporate sound cost estimating practices into project plans. Prepare budget proposals and recommend budget changes as necessary.
  6. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using formal processes and appropriate tools, such as project management software.
  7. Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met. Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet project goals.
  8. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and develop contingency plans.
  9. Minimize exposure and risk on projects. Issue stop-work orders when adverse risks are identified. Solve technical and non-technical problems throughout the project lifecycle.
  10. Coordinate with other TVA organizations to ensure efficient use of resources. Present reports on project progress, problems, and solutions. Ensure project-related documents are complete, current, and properly stored.
  11. Oversee and coordinate work performed by outside contractors. Assign responsibilities and provide direction and support to the project team. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor less experienced staff.
  12. Work collaboratively to maintain thorough knowledge of project status and ensure clear communication. Ensure qualified personnel, including contractors, are assigned to the project.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a technical field, or equivalent education, training, and/or related work experience. A master's degree is preferred but not required.

Experience:

Fifteen years of utility project management experience or equivalent. Proven leadership in managing diverse teams and complex projects. Ability to innovate beyond existing methodologies.

Certification/License:

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. Other professional licenses or certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
