RTX in Windsor Locks, CT, seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead and elevate critical programs within Environmental & Aircraft Control Systems. You will coordinate with engineering disciplines, program offices, production and quality to translate complex requirements into successful outcomes.

The role requires strong engineering leadership, scheduling, risk management and customer communication skills to deliver on time and within budget in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with minimum 8 years of experience OR an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong leadership of cross-functional engineering teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Drive integrated scheduling, EVM, risk and opportunity management.
• Develop an integrated execution plan with Systems, Software, Mechanical and Electrical teams.
• Prepare budgets, staffing plans, and ensure quality expectations are met.
• Analyze trends, performance and forecasting reports for projects.
• Meet with project team weekly to review status and actions.
• Forecast revenues and re-estimate costs monthly to optimize profitability.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders as required.
