RTX's Development Operations in East Hartford seeks a Project Engineer to lead STE design projects for jet engines and components. You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate design kickoffs, and track progress against cost and schedule constraints in a dynamic, security-cleared environment.

The role emphasizes design reviews, procurement oversight, and timely EVMS reporting, with travel up to 10%. A strong background in STEM and active clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in STEM with 5 years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of project management toolsets (e.g., Agile, SAP, Primavera, MS Project).
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidiscipline DO team through an estimating process to provide a comprehensive plan.
• Initiate design kickoff and align on project scope with stakeholders.
• Manage design requirements and ensure gap closure by target dates.
• Monitor schedule and EVMS-related metrics to meet cost and schedule constraints.
• Prepare EV status updates for management and customers.
