Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, CT, is seeking a proactive Principal Project Engineer to lead a large Rotors Integrated Product Team in Compression Systems Engineering. You will provide leadership to the Fan Module team for Advanced Military Engines and be responsible for program task execution.

What You Will Do includes coordinating with procurement, manufacturing and quality teams, managing cost and schedules, performing risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and lead a team as IPTL to meet task and technical requirements; work closely with team members and authorities on component development and recommend product improvements for cost and producibility
• Communicate status and technical content to CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management
• Perform Control Account Manager duties for task: Track progress, identify and resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project budget and schedules to ensure smooth project operations
• Integrate and manage part-level industrial activities with procurement, manufacturing, and quality team members and the internal/external supply chain; also coordinate timely creation/release of product definition
• Perform risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans as well as actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement
• Travel up to 10%
