Job summary

Yahoo Everywhere (Finance) is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead design across three tracks—live deals, partner implementations, and blue-sky concepts. You will be the final design decision-maker for the team, shaping Yahoo's identity on partner surfaces and guiding deals with senior stakeholders.

You will collaborate with design leads across finance, news, sports, and games, build prototypes in Figma and AI tools, and drive end-to-end product direction while growing the design system

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing consumer-facing digital products.
• Portfolio shows strategic and systems-level leadership across end-to-end experiences.
• Experience as the final design decision maker with documented calls and reasoning.
• Experience designing for partner integrations, embedded or white-label/OEM distributions.
• Concept and vision work showing speculative directions that moved business conversations forward.
• Comfort in commercial rooms, presenting to partners and executives.
• Fluency with brand systems and knowing where a brand can flex.
• Strong UX fundamentals across web, mobile, and device surfaces.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to drive product direction and outcomes.
• Excellent communication and storytelling to influence at multiple levels.
• Experience guiding other designers and elevating work quality.

Responsibilities

• Own design across three tracks: live deals, partner implementations, and blue-sky concepts.
• Make final calls on design direction and ensure brand identity remains consistent.
• Represent design in deal conversations and influence outcomes.
• Incorporate partner feedback to deliver the best user experience.
• Produce concept work that gives partners and executives concrete reference points.
• Set team calibration: interpret deal status and translate to fidelity goals.
• Shape partner-type playbooks across OEM, consumer platform, and carrier deals.
• Collaborate with design leads for weather, finance, news, sports, and games disciplines.
