Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead design for Yahoo Everywhere in New York. You will work with business leads on new surfaces and act as the final design decision maker for deals with partners, shaping how Yahoo visuals travel across partner surfaces.

You will drive concept work, judge directions for partner conversations, mentor other designers, and build prototypes in Figma while integrating AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing consumer-facing digital products.
• Strong portfolio showing leadership across end-to-end product experiences.
• Experience as final design decision maker with examples.
• Experience designing for partner integrations, OEM placements, or platform distribution.
• Concept and vision work in portfolio with business impact.
• Comfort presenting to partners and executives.
• Fluency with brand systems and appropriate flex.
• Strong UX fundamentals across web, mobile, and devices.
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling for strategy alignment.
• Ability to raise the craft level of other designers.

Responsibilities

• Own design across three tracks: pitch work, partner implementation, and blue sky concepts.
• Make final calls on design direction and ensure brand fidelity in partnerships.
• Represent design in deal conversations and influence negotiations.
• Incorporate partner feedback to deliver the best user experience.
• Produce concept work and calibrate team fidelity and handoff.
• Shape partner playbooks for OEM, consumer platform, and carrier deals.
• Collaborate with design leads across product areas to ensure consistency.
