Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in North America. This technical role coordinates and develops power system studies, including load-flow, stability, and interconnection analyses for clients across North America and beyond.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, proficiency with PSS/E and other planning tools, and strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficiency with PSS®E including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability analysis.
• Familiarity with North American Market Operators policies and criteria (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support, develop, and deliver complex power system study and planning projects for various clients.
• Perform and review power system analysis activities (load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, etc.).
• Conduct planning and transient studies for standards compliance and good engineering practice.
• Ensure quality of client reports and deliverables (QA).
• Coordinate with internal Arcadis groups for cross-selling and staffing.
