Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electric Power Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in short-circuit, transient, steady-state, and dynamic power system analysis.
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, and FORTRAN for engineering problems.
• PhD in Electrical/Power Engineering may substitute for experience.
• Strong knowledge of inverter-based resource control systems and regional grid requirements.

Responsibilities

• Grid Analysis: Lead transmission system studies including load flow, stability, and voltage analysis.
• Renewable Integration: Evaluate grid code compliance and renewables' impact on bulk power systems.
• Advanced Modeling: Develop power system transient studies and detailed equipment models.
• Stability Studies: Conduct small-signal analyses and recommend mitigation.
• Power Quality: Execute harmonic and power quality studies for compliance.
• Consultative Impact: Support business development with clear value propositions.
• Thought Leadership: Represent GE Vernova at forums and contribute to standards work.
