Job summary
Siemens Energy seeks a Senior Power Systems Consultant to lead transmission planning, interconnection studies and HVDC projects across North America. You will collaborate with utilities, ISOs/TSOs and industrial customers, applying advanced analysis and strong advisory skills to deliver reliable, sustainable grid solutions.
You will mentor peers, contribute to technical strategy, and help grow the business while coordinating with a leading Grid Technology team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of transmission-level power system studies experience.
- Experience with load flow, short-circuit, transient/voltage stability, and planning studies.
- Experience with North American utility/ISO/RTO environments.
- Authorized to work in US or Canada.
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced power system studies for transmission planning and interconnection.
- Collaborate with utilities, ISOs, TSOs, developers and customers.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposals and strategy.
- Deliver practical solutions to improve grid reliability and sustainability.
