Job summary
Electric Power Engineers, LLC (EPE) seeks a Principal with a strong background in interconnection or transmission planning studies. You will collaborate with senior leadership to support growth, coach staff, and advise clients across Eastern Interconnect regions including MISO, SPP and SERC.
Responsibilities include leading complex studies, mentoring teams, and staying current with regulatory changes while building relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years in the electric energy industry.
- Experience in IBR modelling, transmission planning and/or interconnection studies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring staff.
- Experience with AI and automation in engineering contexts.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex interconnection studies across ISO regions and utilities.
- Review study results, replicate findings, and propose mitigations.
- Support developers navigating interconnection processes.
- Serve as SME on interconnection studies and market trends.
- Develop relationships with clients and regulatory bodies.
