Job summary

Zillow Group is seeking a Principal PM for the Agentic Platform to lead the technical product direction for AI agents on a shared platform. You will partner with PMs, engineers, and scientists to shape strategy and ensure scalable, privacy-conscious experiences across consumer, seller, rentals, and pro tools.

You will own contracts, registry, gateway, developer experience, context and memory, and the orchestration of the shared runtime, defining graduation criteria and open architecture

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management, including platform or infrastructure products whose customers were other product and engineering teams.
• Hands-on depth with LLM and agentic systems: orchestration, context engineering, memory and RAG, and eval design
• Track record of driving adoption through influence across organizations with different incentives and roadmaps
• Ability to write concise, decision-forcing docs at SVP level, then run the execution beneath them
• Comfort with ambiguity and contested ownership. You settle scope disputes by redrawing the boundary, not by escalating
• The human touch to get the right people in a room across engineering, science, and domain teams
• Nice to Have: Data mesh or federated data platform experience
• Nice to Have: Experience with experimentation and A/B testing on AI features
• Nice to Have: Consumer marketplace or two‑sided product experience

Responsibilities

• Define platform direction with fellow PMs, engineering, and science partners
• Onboard 2-3 flagship experience teams and define graduation criteria
• Make open architecture decisions with a named decider and date
• Turn cross-org dependencies into explicit commitments with named owners and dates
• Bridge traditional engineering and agentic data needs across source of truth debates
• Define and instrument platform success metrics: reuse, time-to-first-agent, cost per team, cross-surface coherence
• Maintain a clear list of what we’re not building and share it openly with experience teams
